Problem

The writing was strong, but the reading experience was ordinary.

The archive buried the best work. Typography was neutral to the point of forgettable, and the site gave readers too little help finding the most useful ideas.

Process

Use editorial signals with restraint.

Rather than introducing magazine-style complexity, the system focused on better spacing, stronger summaries, featured articles, and a cleaner taxonomy.

Outcome

A calmer archive that increased trust in the ideas themselves.

Good content needs the right frame. Once the experience became easier to scan and more considered visually, the writing had more authority.
